LifeWorks Mentoring Peer Mentors
The Peer Mentoring Program is a volunteer opportunity and leadership development program for LGBTQ youth and young adults (14-29 years old) who want to support other young people. Our goal is to develop a group of caring youth and young adults who are committed to supporting one another and have the skills to be leaders in our community.
Peer Mentors attend activities regularly to act as informal role models to others in the program, and work as a team with LifeWorks staff to develop skills in Outreach, Event Planning, and Group Facilitation. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 hours per month for 3 months.
The next training for new Peer Mentors will be Saturday September 29 from 10:00am-4:30pm for the fall session. Fill out the application below to get started, or contact Dan Dumont for more information at ddumont@lifeworksmentoring.org or 310-724-6300.
