Access Information
LifeWorks is committed to ending discrimination against differently abled people in the LGBTQ community and beyond. We strive to remove the physical and cultural barriers that prevent the full inclusion of people of all abilities in our communities. We are happy to provide any assistance or accomodations possible to provide a welcoming and fun atmosphere for people of all abilities.
Here are some things about our location that differently abled people might like to know before visiting us. Most of this is what you can expect from an average older building.
|
- We can not offer free parking, so visitors usually park at parking meters along Melrose Ave. These meters are free after 6pm and there are usually several available nearby. There is a parking lot for our building, they charge $5-10.
- The bathroom stalls are quite small, and there are no grab bars.
- The elevator is almost always working, but it has had days when it's closed for repairs. Our office is on the third floor, so you may want to call first just to check.
- The ramp from the sidewalk to the front door may be steep for some people.
- The front door of the building may be difficult to pull open for some people.
